WorkSight is a productivity tracking platform that helps organizations understand and improve work patterns. This privacy policy covers the WorkSight URL Bridge browser extension and the WorkSight platform (desktop agent, dashboard, and backend services).

What Data the Browser Extension Collects

      Domain name of the currently active tab (e.g., "github.com")
Page title of the currently active tab (e.g., "Pull Request #42")

      Full URLs or URL parameters
Page content, text, images, or videos
Cookies, passwords, or form data
Browsing history
Data from background or inactive tabs
Keystrokes or mouse movements

How Data Flows

The browser extension sends the active tab's domain and title to the WorkSight desktop agent running locally on your computer (localhost:27182)
The desktop agent authenticates with the WorkSight server and syncs the data
Data is stored securely on WorkSight servers hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services)
Data is used to generate productivity reports, focus scores, and activity categorization in your WorkSight dashboard

The extension itself never communicates directly with any external server. All data passes through the locally-installed desktop agent first.

How Data Is Used

Collected data is used exclusively for:

Categorizing browsing activity as productive, neutral, or distracting
Calculating focus scores and productivity metrics
Generating activity reports and timelines
Powering Focus Mode website blocking during focus sessions
Providing productivity recommendations and insights

Who Can See Your Data

You can see your own detailed activity data in your WorkSight dashboard
Your organization's managers can see aggregated team productivity reports (per your organization's privacy settings configured by admins)
Organization admins can configure privacy rules that control what data is visible at the team level
Techie Consulting Solutions Inc does not access, sell, or share individual user data with third parties

Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit
Authentication uses JWT tokens with secure refresh mechanisms
The desktop agent stores credentials locally using your operating system's secure credential storage
Data retention follows your organization's configured policies

Focus Mode and Website Blocking

During Focus Mode sessions, the extension blocks access to websites configured as distracting by the user or their organization. This feature:

Only activates during explicitly started focus sessions
Shows a block page with options to end the session or request a temporary override
Does not log or store the content of blocked pages

Your Rights

You can view all data collected about you in your WorkSight dashboard
Organization admins can configure data retention and deletion policies
You can request data deletion by contacting your organization's WorkSight administrator or by emailing us directly
